Thursday, April 3: We had two days at sea as we travelled from Tianjin to Shanghai. After breakfast, we headed to the library with our laptop to check our email and to pick up the daily crossword and quiz.
Back up in our cabin, Tom set up his GPS to track our progress.
Then he got out the binoculars to get a better look at the various vessels who were sharing the Yellow Sea with us.
Why don't you get a better look too?
Debbie had been too sick to drink the bottle of champagne we ordered for our departure from Kobe eight days earlier, so we enjoyed it during our afternoon at sea.
As usual, the selection of daily movies didn't disappoint, so we watched "Juno" while relaxing in our cabin.
The setting sun means it is time to put on our finery and head to our table for two on the upper level of the Rotterdam Dining Room.
From our table, we looked across the atrium to the other side of the ship to see the setting sun once again.
Every dish served on a Holland America ship is beautifully plated, but every once in a while, one is so pretty that we have to photograph it.

After dinner, we took a self-portrait in our cabin.
