Claire Wiegand's Story: 2013 - 2014

This was a uneventful, stable year for Claire. She still goes to adult day care six hours a day and still prefers staying at home but will tolerate restaurants and parties. She's still very active and very healthy, but is prone to mood swings on a monthly basis.

	When we spent at evening with some friends, Claire came along and went to sleep in the guest room so Mom and Tom could stay later. (September 2013)
	Here's Claire opening Christmas gifts with a little bit of help from Tito. (December 2013)
	On Jill's birthday, Claire sat down next to her sister fully expecting that all birthday presents were hers to open. (February 2014)
	We introduced Claire to "Frozen" by taking away her toy and seating her on the couch. She sat transfixed for the first half of the movie. Here she is watching Elsa sing "Let It Go" for the first time. (March 2014)
	Claire is pretty good about going to the dentist as long as she has a favorite toy and a good view of the television hanging from the ceiling. (April 2014)
	We took Claire to a local gymnastics center for an autism fundraiser.
	Claire had a nice time bouncing, jumping, and rolling on the equipment. (April 2014)
	We have to put gifts up high to keep the cats away from the ribbon, but then Claire wonders why she can't have whatever is in the bag. (April 2014)
	Claire enjoyed the bounce house at her cousin Emily's birthday party.
	Later that day, she stole cousin Anne's heart by reaching for her and holding her hand. (May 2014)
	Claire was a trouper the night of her sister's wedding rehearsal, sitting patiently in her wheelchair while we worked on setting up the barn for the next day's reception. Here she is holding Wedding Bear, a teddy bear bride with a musical button sewn on her dress so that it played the Wedding March when pressed. (June 2014)
