Monday, July 5, 2004: During our second day at sea, we relaxed on our balcony, enjoying the scenery. The water was incredibly blue.

The pool area was a madhouse when the ship was at sea, so we avoided it.
Without warning, an airplane buzzed the ship in the afternoon, then turned around and headed back to shore. After 15 minutes, the captain came on over the loudspeakers to tell us that this happens on every cruise, but didn't tell us why. It was pretty terrifying.
At our formal dinner that evening, our waiter and assistant waiter presented the Baked Alaska.
You may be impressed by their fine garments, but check us out in our own finery.
Now, we will give you a tour of our cabin. Here is the view of the sitting area. You may be thinking, "Hey, what a lovely Greek island that is. Can we get a closeup of that?"
You bet.
Here is the view of our bed, nicely turned down with tasty chocolates on our pillows and the program for the next day waiting to be read.
Here's another view, where you can see the giant wall mirror that gives the impression that the room is bigger than it really is.
Finally, here's the bathroom, which had a built-in hairdryer and lotion dispenser on the wall, and a shampoo dispenser in the shower. It was tiny but it had plenty of storage under the sink and the shower was large enough.
This isn't much of a photo, but you know what? That shoreline in the distance is Albania! Way!
At midnight, the Grand Buffet was unveiled. For the first half hour, guests were allowed to photograph the buffet.
As you can imagine, it was quite opulent.
The dessert display was quite tempting, but alas, we didn't stay up to actually eat anything from the buffet.
The seafood display was the most decadent of all, featuring chilled lobster tails.

There were over a dozen ice sculptures, each lit with a different color light. Our favorite was the Merlion, which reminded us of our visit to Singapore years earlier.
