Sunday, November 23, 2014: For a change of pace, we were able to sleep in a little.
We walked through the maze of paths past other chalets to breakfast, ...
... and stopped again for one final look at Mt. Kilimanjaro from the viewpoint. It was still visible with just a little bit of the top obscured.
We checked out, got a ride to the airport, and checked in for our day's flights.
Today, we were flying Qatar Airways for three flights. We had USB outlets in the seatbacks again, so we settled in for a pleasant day of flying.
Mt. Kilimanjaro was visible right outside our window as we departed Kilimanjaro International Airport.
We started watching a movie (Lucy) and enjoyed a snack on our very brief flight to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
We got a beautiful view of Dar es Salaam and Bongoyo Island before landing. We stayed onboard and kept watching our movies as passengers were swapped out for the next leg.
There were more snacks on the flight to Qatar as our movie watching continued with Guardians of the Galaxy, ...
... and then more snacks.
We landed in Doha ...
... and hit the restroom. These hose contraptions were in many of the restrooms we saw in Africa and the Middle East.
This giant bear was in the main atrium of the airport.
A nearby toy store offered this animatronic dinosaur and travelers lined up to get their picture taken with it.
With a three-hour layover, we had plenty of time to enjoy dinner and some wi-fi in the food court.
Soon, we were taking off again ...
... and eating yet another meat pie on the flight.
We landed in Dubai, exchanged money, and were picked up by our driver. Booked through our hotel, the transfer was quite luxurious with complimentary bottled water and free wi-fi in the sedan.
It was after midnight when we arrived at the Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates. We had booked an executive suite and had been upgraded to a huge corner suite.
It had a large dining room, ...
... a guest bathroom, ...
... a small bar area ...
... a living room, ...
... a bedroom with a view of the Burj al Arab, ...
... two huge closets, ...
... and a gigantic bathroom with ...
... a separate toilet room and sink.

Just when we thought it was all too much, we found this hidden closet that exists for the entire purpose of hiding away all of our luggage.
