Sunday, March 30: Tom's GPS enjoyed another day in
the sun on our balcony as we made our way from South Korea to
China. Those of you who know how much Tom loves his GPS will
be relieved to know that he always ties it to the railing
first, so it won't fall overboard. |

Our glamorous onboard ship life includes using our prepaid
soda card to get cans of Diet Coke from the bar. Here we were
relaxing on the Lido deck next to the pool while our cabin
steward cleaned our cabin. |
 |
Our glamorous life also involves us washing our socks in
the sink and hanging them in the bathroom to dry. |
 |
In the afternoon, we had a meeting for all
guests who were going on the two-day shore excursion to
Beijing a few days later. There were about 100 of us who
signed up to spend the night in Beijing rather than drive the
3 1/2 hours from the ship into Beijing both days we would be
visiting, so we were given information on our hotel and what
to pack. |
 |
On our way back, we went into the candy store -- I mean,
jewelry store -- where Tom found a watch destined to be his.
Mind you, we were headed to China, where counterfeit watches
are sold on the street for a couple bucks each, but no, Tom
wanted a real one. Look how happy it makes him, though.
