Thursday, December 12, 2002: We spent a particularly lazy
day at sea, circling around the north side of Cuba as we headed
toward the Florida Keys. We soaked up the sun on our balcony, venturing
out of our room only to eat. Our butler also brought us fresh fruit
in the morning, pastries in the afternoon and hors d'oevres before
dinner. To misquote Jeff Spicoli, we were "looking at Cuba
and eating some food."

It was another formal night on the ship, so we found ourselves
looking mighty fine at dinner time. We thought we'd share our fineness
with the folks back home, so we sent an electronic postcard from
the ship.

Here's the other half of it. |

Here's Tom at dinner, with our most excellent assistant waiter,
Menino, visible in the background.

Here's Debbie at dinner. Not pictured: Juan, our beverage waiter,
whose resemblance to a certain action star caused us to nickname
him "Juan Claude Van Damme." We were shocked to see him
on shore the next day with an identical twin brother.

Oh! It's the parade of the Baked Alaskas! Our waiter, Arif, has
a bad case of red eye in this dark photo, but he did a fabulous
job of bringing the tasty dessert to our table.
Next, we were off to bed to get some rest because the next day
is...
Day 7 >
