Monday, October 24, 2011: Our first day at sea was sunny and beautiful. |

We had a nice, leisurely breakfast outdoors featuring made-to-order omelettes. |
 |
Now, we'll show you our cabin. This is cabin 105 on the Verandah Deck. We had nearly the exact cabin in the same location on ms Rotterdam and ms Statendam on past cruises. Click here for a shot-by-shot comparison of the cabins. |

Here is the sitting area of the cabin, with the balcony visible. This area contained a flat-panel TV, nine drawers, a mini-bar and ample seating. |

The bed was large and comfortable. Two bedside tables had two large drawers each. |

Here's the view looking back to the entryway and bathroom. |

There were two closets with two sections each. There was ample room to store all of our suitcases under the bed. |

We also lunched outdoors by the pool at the back of the ship, one of our favorite places to pass time. |

After lunch, we had a beer and were generally quite pleased with how our vacation was going. |

It was a mostly overcast day, but that worked out just fine with us, because we had nowhere to be ... |
 |
... except at dinner at 5:45. This evening, Debbie had Lobster Thermidor for the first and last time, with a side of tasty steak. |
