Sunday, November 30, 2014: We were up before 4:00 AM. We checked out and picked up our pre-ordered breakfast boxes containing muffins, juice, water, and bananas.
One wall of the hotel held this mosaic map of Jordan which provided a nice visual reminder of how far we had traveled in the previous two days.
At Queen Alia International Airport, we ate our box breakfasts, changed our leftover dinar to British pounds, and started the long series of flights home. The McDonald's offered an unusual breakfast option called the McArabia Halloumi (cheese, tomatoes, black olives, and mint on a pita) but we didn't get a close enough photo of it and we had already converted our money so we couldn't buy it.
Our first layover was London Heathrow Airport where those British pounds came in handy. We ended up being back here eight months later and took nearly the exact same photo.
We passed the airport version of Harrods, which helped convince us that we really were in the UK (and on the continent of Europe, bringing our total continents on this trip to four).
We planned on having lunch during our layover and were thrilled to find Yo! Sushi -- the very restaurant we had wanted to try when we were in Dubai.
It's a pay-for-what-you-eat system with each plate color representing a different amount.
The tempting plates slide by on a conveyor belt while tableside water dispensers keep you hydrated.
Yum!
It doesn't take long before you have amassed a stack of plates and have to pay the bill. Those adorable British pound prices added up to quite a US equivalent.
The gift shops had Coca-Colas in every possible combination: Light, Regular (with Christmas names on them), Max, and Life - a never-before-seen version with a green label. Debbie did find a bag of her beloved Prawn Cocktail chips to bring home as a tasty souvenir.
Soon it was time to board our Air Canada flight across the Atlantic.

Once we arrived in Toronto, we sought out the most traditional Canadian food we could find. What could be more Canadian than a Molson Pub?  We had dinner here, flew back to Indy, and were home by midnight.
