Sunday, January 20, 2013: We indulged in room
service breakfast on our second at-sea day, delivered by our
butler, Zenobio.
|
|
In the early afternoon, we attended a wine tasting organized
by Cruise Critic members Jim and Marylou, shown here with Nell,
the Celebrity staff member who helped reserve and set up the
room for us. |
|
Each attending couple brought a bottle of wine to share, and
we started with our bottle, Oliver Winery's Camelot Mead. Jim
poured a small serving for each of the 20+ people there. |
|
A person from each group stood up to introduce themselves and
to tell us a little about the wine they brought. Jenny from New
Zealand described the white wine that she and her friend, Sue,
brought. |
|
After working our way through the white wines, Tom and Liz's
bottle was the first of the reds to be tasted. |
|
Walter and Beth brought two bottles with them. Other wines
included bottles from the 100th annual Calgary Stampede,
Pennsylvania, and British Columbia. |
|
After everything had been tasted and we were thoroughly
drunk, we lined up the bottles on the bar for a photo session.
We had such a good time that we discussed doing it again later
in the cruise. |
|
Later in our cabin, we wolfed down desserts and sandwiches
for tea. |
|
Sunset over the Caribbean Sea was beautiful.
