Saturday, July 23, 2016: After a series of very unfortunate events, none of which need to be detailed here, we found ourselves stuck at the Indianapolis airport for many more hours than originally intended, so we had a burger at Champps when lunchtime rolled around. |

Despite the fact that American Airlines flight 1780 wasn't going anywhere, at noon it was still listed on the monitors as departing at 7:05 AM. |

We were told our luggage would be accompanying us on our replacement flight to JFK airport in New York. That was untrue, but at least we got to fly first class in an attempt to make up for the fact that we weren't going to get to Bermuda today. |

There's our destination - Long Island. We were hoping to spend the night on an island, but this wasn't what we had in mind. |

We got a $24 voucher for dinner, good only at the airport restaurant, which covered less than half of our bill, but who cares? We're on vacation! Debbie had chorizo pasta ... |

... and Tom had his second burger of the day, both washed down with well-deserved beers. We picked up a toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, and deodorant from the hotel gift shop and called it a night. |
