Friday, July 2, 2004: Happy Birthday, Tom. In the great Bundlings-at-Sea tradition, the birthday boy or girl is photographed in their bathrobe on their birthday.

The pier at Mykonos is quite new, and buses stand by to shuttle passengers to the town, just 5 minutes away.
It was another beautiful, cloudless day, which is how we always pictured the Greek islands to be.
We skipped lunch on the boat so we could enjoy some Greek food in town. We ordered tzaziki, calamari, and Coca-Cola Light, of course!
A stray kitten came by begging for food. She couldn't have been more than three months old and we fell in love with her.
Tom dubbed her "Electra" and got this shot of her looking him in the eye to ask for more food.
Ever the tourist, Debbie had to get her feet in the Aegean Sea. The cafe where we had lunch is visible over her shoulder.
This is Petros II, the island's pelican mascot. We saw him at the point near the windmills, and later in the day at the harbor.
Looking back at Mykonos Town from the point.
Looking back at the point with the famous Mykonos windmills.
As is our custom, we stopped to enjoy local beer (Mythos) at a cafe in the harbor after a great afternoon of wandering through the side streets, shopping, snacking, and sightseeing. After this, we headed back to the ship to gulp down a quick dinner and change clothes.
After dinner, we dashed back into town to have some baclava, and ended up at the same table in the same cafe drinking the same beer as the sun went down.
At one point, several Asian people trailed by a camera crew went racing down the waterfront. When they reappeared a half hour later, we guessed that they were part of a reality show, most likely racing to get to the point where the windmills are. Sadly, we have no way of confirming this.
The sunset was beautiful from our table.
We headed back to the ship as the lights of Mykonos Town started to light up the bay. Tom declared it to be the best birthday ever.

Our waiting ship was a lovely sight. Our room is the second row from the top, the fifth cabin from the left, right next to the room with the light on.
